I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

This weekend is what I would call a simple challenge. I got to learn how to play two previously unknown songs, raise a known song up a key, and play from memory a known song, all over night. Then play them on my violin with three others and two guitars. I never have played my violin with a guitar before!
How to learn the unknown in one night? Practice until your fingers are sore, your neck cramp, and don't expect it to be perfect. It does say make a joyful noise... right?
I never knew I was so talented! :) It was lots of fun! It wasn't perfect but it was one of the greatest blessings in the world. Praise The Lord! Besides, how could I worry about my playing with song titles like, I Know Who Holds Tomorrow and If That Isn't Love?
I had a great teacher and a very cooperative group. What more could one ask for when serving the Lord? Through this all if I could come out with nothing else, at least I'd come out with knowing two new songs!
"I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand!" Just will not leave my mind. I keep hearing it over and over like a message I need to sink into my brain and I'm not sure why.
Like I ask Conner when he gets one doing something, If you had it to do all over again would you? My answer to this would be yes! Definitely! That is what counts in the end.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing. Psalm 100:2

  1. Everyone did great!! I had so much fun...we must do it again when we can do it longer! Of course after your fingers are built up a little more:-)

  2. Sure thing! I'd be willing to do it all over again even before my fingers build callouses. :) It was really, really, really fun!!!!
